Abstract:
The residual stress distribution in the surface layer of 18Cr2Ni4WA steel at different shot speeds and shot radii was simulated with ANSYS/LS-DYNA finite element software, and the simulation results was verified by experiment. The results show that the maximum residual stress in the surface layer of 18Cr2Ni4WA steel first increased then decreased with the increase of shot speed or shot radius. The strengthening effect of the shot peening was relatively good at shot speed of 120 m·s-1 and shot radius of 0.6 mm. The simulated results of residual stress distribution in surface layer of the steel agreed well with experimental results, proving the accuracy of the model.
